Audible Original
Mixing Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice for a Multilingual World
04 September 2025
What does it take to reimagine one of literature’s most iconic love stories for listeners across the globe? From Berlin to Barcelona, Milan to Marseilles, our team helped shape one of the most ambitious multinational audio dramas to date.
Forever Audio was tasked with mixing Audible’s global adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in multiple languages, each version recorded with local talent in territory and mixed out in fully immersive Dolby Atmos.

Each adaptation captures the unique cultural tone of its audience while retaining the spark, tension and wit that define Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. The Atmos mix provides a truly immersive listening experience and transports audiences into Austen’s timeless world.
We worked closely with Audible and Brain Audio to create a consistent audio experience across the various languages, ensuring the cinematic sound design and stunning music fits perfectly for each adapted version.

The French and German adaptation will be available from 9th September, with the Italian and Castilian Spanish available from 6th October.
