STEAM
Rhythm Studio Partnership
The Forever Audio team have been doing fantastic work for several years now to have a meaningful impact in the STEAM community (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), with the long-term ambition of increasing accessibility for young people into the creative audio sector. In particular we’re keen to help individuals who otherwise might not have found their way into the industry - let’s face it, it can all be a bit mysterious! To date, we’ve presented to over 2000 young people through outreach initiatives that we’ve designed including hosting visits to our studios and going into schools, and joining career-day events.
Today we are extending that work with the launch of a new partnership with The Rhythm Studio, an incredible music educational institution based in West London.
The Rhythm Studio Foundation is a charitable organisation centred around the belief that talented young musicians deserve a chance, whatever their background. They work with schools, community groups and young people who have a passion for music but lack the means and support to take it further. Their inspirational approach to music education has attracted high profile Patrons including Chris Martin, Bella Freud, Guy Chambers and many others.
The entirely state funded 6th form music performance, production and business course based at their campus is a 2-year full-time programme designed to prepare students for university and a career in the creative industries - and that's where Forever Audio come in.
A couple of weeks ago, we hosted the first full Saturday takeover of our Central London production studios with four bespoke masterclasses designed to open attendees eyes to the huge range of jobs, creativity and technology involved in our world that they may want to explore for themselves as they embark on their professional lives, or future studies.
Our incredible team of writers, producers, engineers and sound designers put together in-depth and interactive sessions on Music composition and licensing, Immersive sound design and Atmos, Post production and ADR, and Creative writing for audio. All of these workshops had the aim to demystify, spark conversation and ultimately inspire these young people.
We absolutely loved welcoming such a talented, engaged bunch into the building and we couldn’t be prouder of our own team who gave up so much of their time to help support the day. Thank you to everyone involved!
Sixth form lead, Marco Tardiola:
“We love Forever Audio! The team was so kind to open their studios and to share their expertise with our sixth formers, delivering four inspiring and insightful masterclasses on everything post-production and creative writing related. It was a truly special experience, which expanded our students’ horizons on these exciting careers in the industry.”
Chris Hodges, Founder & Director of Music:
"It was an incredible opportunity for our students to visit the Forever Audio’s London HQ, as it allowed them to gain first hand experience of a professional studio environment. The event showcased Forever Audio’s outstanding studio facilities, the company’s diverse portfolio of activities, and its talented and welcoming team of audio engineers, songwriters and content creators. We all learnt so much - enormous thanks to Seb and his team for such a memorable and inspirational visit!”
We look forward to working with the Rhythm Studio team and these fantastic young people on other projects in the future and to welcoming the new cohort back for more masterclasses in 2025!
