Sonic Days Denmark:

Last month our Head of Engineering, Rob Baker, headed to Denmark to speak at Sonic Days, joining an in-depth panel exploring the creative and technical world behind Audible’s immersive audio.

The session, titled Behind the Sound of Immersive Audio on Audible, looked at how multi-genre stories are brought to life in Dolby Atmos from the first idea through to the final mix. Rob and the panel explored everything from spatial design and mix strategy to how the producers, sound designers and engineers collaborated to build three-dimensional worlds with sound alone.

A highlight of the conversation was a behind-the-scenes look at the newly released Harry Potter Full-Cast Audio Editions. Moderated by Richard Addis from Dolby, the panel also featured Stuart McCowan from Audible and Lawrence Kendrick from String and Tins. A brilliant conversation and a real celebration of what immersive audio can do for storytelling.

Sonic Days continues to shine a spotlight on the future of audio storytelling. We were thrilled to see Rob representing Forever Audio and helping shape the conversation around what’s possible when creativity, technology and storytelling meet.
