Forever Audio shortlisted at the Audio Production Awards 2025

We’re delighted to be nominated in the Little Ears category at this year’s Audio Production Awards!

Our nomination is for Natural History Museum: Discovery Crew: an immersive educational audio series created in association with the Natural History Museum for tonies, as part of their Clever Pocket Tonies range.

Across four episodes, we brought the museum to life through the adventures of Ruari, Jo, and Hamid: three young explorers with their own scientific passions spanning palaeontology, oceanography, and British wildlife. Combining imaginative storytelling with factual learning, the series celebrates audio’s power to educate, entertain, and inspire.

The Forever Audio team worked on scripting, casting, production, and post-production. The scripts balanced a fun, magical narrative with museum-approved educational themes, whilst our sound design team were vital in creating rich, layered audio environments that transported audiences to prehistoric lands, deep oceans, and even the museum’s nocturnal corridors. Our music team composed the series’ theme tune in addition to creating bespoke music cues throughout each episode, ensuring that every moment worked in perfect harmony to deliver the right mood and feel. Voice sessions were recorded in our London studios, allowing us to maintain consistency in performance and audio quality. Every stage of the project from writing and recording to mixing and proofing was managed in-house by our team, ensuring a unified sound throughout.

The project was built on strong collaboration with both tonies and the Natural History Museum. We worked closely with NHM’s subject specialists to shape the educational direction of the scripts, with expert input on accuracy for areas like palaeontology and ecosystems.

We couldn’t be prouder of the work our team produced, and of the shared vision that brought this series to life, it’s proof that great partnerships and great sound can make learning an adventure.

This nomination sits alongside Forever Audio’s wider work in children’s content, including productions such as Hilda & The Time Worm and The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, reflecting our ongoing passion for creating meaningful, imaginative storytelling for younger audiences.
